Kadon Collies was started in Southern California in the early 1970's by the mother, daughter team of Donna & Kathy Hunt. Twelve years ago the kennel was moved to New Mexico. Presently, Kadon is housed in a 2500 sqft. kennel building just a 1/2 hour south of Albuquerque. Kathy has created a breeding program that has matured and developed over the last twenty five years. Her line has produced many beautiful, sound, and healthy dogs. In the last ten years, her daughter, Jennifer, has joined the Kadon legacy.

Ch. Kadon Bethany's Gospel, Best of Breed at the Collie Club of America National 2006. In 2004, Rex won an Award of Merit at the CCA National. In the years, 2003, 2004 & 2005, Rex has placed in Hawkins Top Ten winning collies in the United States. 'Rex's litter was co-bred with daughter Jennifer Murad, making her the youngest breeder of a National Winner.

Ch. Cinderella's One For The Road, Best of Breed at the Collie Club of America show in 1987. Trucker was #1 in the Hawkins Top Ten winning collies and he is an All-breed Best In Show winner and producer of an All-breed Best In Show winning Champion bitch. Trucker's litter was bred when Kathy Hunt-Murad was only 23 making her one of the youngest breeders of a National Winner.

Ch. Kadon Debutante Cotillion, a beautiful sable female was a two time Award of Merit winner at the National show, once in 1989 and again in 1995 at the age of ten. Kaylie is also a multiple champion producer.

Ch. Kadon Hear The Thunder, a beautiful tri color male, was in Hawkins Top Ten winning collies in America in 1998. Thunder is a multiple specialty winner and group olacer. Thunder is the sire of 3 champions with more on the way includint his latest winners, Kadon Shining Spark who currently has 12 points, both majors and his sister, Kadon Diamonds Are Forever, 5 points, one major and both will back out in the fall '06 to finish.

Ch. Kadon's Dreamgirl is the dam of 1991 Collie Club of America's Reserve Winners Bitch, Gambit-Kadon All In A Dream, and the dam of Kadon's current top producing sire, Kadon I'Mpressive. Dream is a multiple specialty and a group placing winner.

Ch. Kadon Legendary Design, a stunning tri color female that flew to her championship taking BOB & BOS's at specialties to rank #11 Collies On Line, 2005. Look for Desi in the ring in 2007!
